'Ty' by Two Bucks A Jack is ranching in Big Sandy MT on a big range Rocky Mountain ranch.
After producing several good replacement fillies for us out of some of our favorite mares, Two Bucks A Jack was gelded as an 8 year old and ridden on the ranch for a year. He was then purchased by Larry and Tana Stall of Dun Center where he is ranching and team roping for Tana and Larry and 'Showdeoing' for their grandson. He is a testament to how important disposition is to us and our horse program. He is pictured with Vawnita far right ponying his maternal brother out to pasture.
In addition to working, we play a little too. This picture was taken on a trip to Medora several summers back. These are our 'NDSU friends' that try to trail ride on an annual basis. The four horses on the left and the two furthest right are all 'Best' horses and are now in the hands of others with the exception of the filly on the far left who is by 'Two Bucks' and is still on the ranch.

Working For A Living For Us
Before our mares enter the broodmare band, they are used on the ranch and evaluated for trainability, disposition, cow sense and athleticism.

We hope that if you ride for a living or simply enjoy and appreciate quality 'cattle' horses, you will consider the box cross when looking for your next mount or prospect. Due to the ranch terrain, if you do visit the ranch while cattle are out on summer / fall grass, there is a good possibility we will be riding to them. You will get a chance to give one of our sale offerings a spin and evaluate our horses for yourself. We would love to have you visit the ranch. To do so, call Pete at (701) 570-6959 or Vawnita at (701) 226-0305.
