The Elkhorn Creek Ranch is a family owned and operated ranch which inventories approximately 250 head of commercial and registered Angus cattle and a small band of registered Quarter Horses on a combination of private and USDA Forest Service acres in western North Dakota.

As active members of the North Dakota Stockmen’s Association, the American Angus Association and the American Quarter Horse Association we are dedicated to the missions of those organizations and to offering quality beef cattle and working horses which offer recognized value to our private treaty customers. We offer annually by Private Treaty a select group of registered Angus bulls (yearlings and two year olds), many of which are full brothers from our embryo transfer (ET) program, replacement Angus heifers and ranch raised working Quarter Horses.

Our brood cow herd is founded on time tested genetics influenced by GDAR (Gartner - Denowh Angus Ranch), Shoshone Angus, McCumber Angus and CAR (Connelly Angus Ranch). Our cow families include: Miss Wix, Rosetta, Gale, Miss Marie, Marie, and Blackcap. We have focused heavily on pheno-type (for our unique and demanding environment) and balanced EPD’s when selecting both AI sires and donor cows for our ET program.

Our current AI sire battery includes: CAR Tracker 904, SAV 8180 Traveler 004, Sinclair Extra 4X13, Best Right Time 8024, Leachman Right Time 2700, Boyd New Day 8005, Bo Duke 8006 of Best Angus, Littau Alliance 64L, and OCC Missing Link 830M.

Please check our Angus Sales Catalog area of the website for our current Priviate Treaty availably listing and recent news from the ranch. Contact Us if you have any questions.

The desire to have an economical source of consistently bred, good disposition, dependable ranch horses brought us to the point of raising our own in 1998. We will be offering a limited number of offspring each year. Some offspring will be sired by Genuine Two Buck "Chance", and out of daughters of Two Bucks A Jack. Please check our QH Sales Listings for more information and availability. Contact Us if you have any questions.
